Charters in the Tuamotu are based from either Fakarava or Rangiroa, a one-hour flight from Tahiti.
The Tuamotu is a vast archipelago comprising 76 atolls. The lagoons are surrounded by coral reefs grown on the outline of sunken volcanoes and provide exceptional shelter from the rough ocean seas. The underwater world in the Tuamotu is truly spectacular, an example of untouched marine biodiversity, and the local communities are really friendly and welcoming.
